Schools First Aid : A number of first aid courses have been designed for schools to train teachers, special needs assistants (SNA) and pupils. We can provide training at a suitable time for staff members including dividing the 1 day course into 2 half days.

 

1 1 Day Paediatric First Aid course.

2 2-3hrs Introduction to First Aid as part of your “Croke Park hours”

3 First Aid classes for 5th and 6th class students.

 

 

1. 1 Day Paediatric First Aid course.

This course is designed to teach school staff life saving skills to respond to all accidents and emergencies in a school setting.

 

2. 2-3hrs for Teachers.

Schools use this course to educate school staff members in vital first aid skills.
This course is popular for teachers as part of the “Croke Park hours”.

 

3. First Aid classes for 5th and 6th class students.

This course is designed to give pupils the skills and confidence to react appropriately in an accident or emergency. It also teaches pupils how to activate the Emergency services. The course will end with a group discussion inviting pupils to share their stories and experiences

.

Course Programme:

Child CPR.

Fractures, sprains and strains.

Epilepsy.

Conscious Choking Child.

Recovery position.

 

Who should attend: Teachers, (SNA) & Pupils
Duration 1 day or (2-3hrs)
Certification GHSS First Aid Certificate.
Certificate Valid for 2 years.
Max. No of trainees 10.      (Pupils 20)
